We visited Serena as a family with our baby and had a really enjoyable day. It’s only about 30 minutes from Helsinki, but it feels like a little escape from the city.

What I especially like is that Serena is much more than just an indoor water park. The indoor pools, water slides and saunas are open year-round, while in summer there are also outdoor pools and slides. There are picnic areas as well, so you can easily spend the whole day here.

One detail I found particularly interesting is the small private hut/tent area in the middle of the pool, which can be reserved for birthday celebrations — such a fun idea for families with children.

Serena also has cottages for overnight stays, and in winter the area turns into a ski centre, making it a destination for different seasons rather than just a summer water park.

We came for a family day at the water park, but there is actually much more here than I expected. A great place for an active family day or even a little weekend getaway close to Helsinki. We would definitely come again.

Great water park. Everyone can find something to do. Children loved it, spent many hours and would have wanted to stay longer. With public transport 🚌 you can reach at the door of Serena 💦🌊, which is full day activity water park. From kids to adults, it has all kind of different slides, sauna , and spa. We had a wonderful time at Serena Water Park! The place is very family-friendly and perfect for kids. The colorful slides are exciting and fun, and the shallow pool areas made it safe and enjoyable for children to play.
The overall atmosphere is relaxing, and it’s a great spot for families to bond and spend quality time together. We also appreciated having space to sit down, eat, and rest during our visit.

A really great place for young and older kids alike.
Adults have fun too. The Villi Virta can truly be a bumpy ride, don't take any child who's not a strong swimmer.
Bring a friend. The lockers require 2€ coins to operate, so bring some of those too. Bring water bottles and snacks, like orange slices, chocolate and salt crackers for when the kids get dehydrated and grumpy. The buffet is standard, quality Finnish food at average prices.
Excellent atmosphere. Very clean. Showing need of maintenance. Wheelchair accessible.
